Written by: Gloria Eladoko (SMS/10/MAC/00879)

Examination in Bayero University Kano has been postponed on Wednesday, the 23rd of November 2011, due to the proposed ASUU Strike. According to the information gathered from some of the lecturers and the HOD of the Mass Communication Department, Dr. Balarabe Maikaba, “ASUU are going on strike and if the school will not be part of the strike base on examination reason, the fine of N6million would be paid by the University”.
Decisions are yet to be taken concerning the issue. As it is, students are in a state of dilemma. Some have stopped reading while others are not happy because their plans of seeing the session come to an end have been hindered by the sudden change of decision.
However, there have been confusion even were and this has brought tension to every student including the school authority. The school is not certain if the examination would still commence as schedule. Despite that, the students are still on guard to know the aftermath of the whole situation
