Report By: Ahmed Rufa'i
People both in Sharada and their neighbouring locality may face potential health danger.
This statement is argueably a fact,as Sharada posses one of the largest sugar-cane market in kano. However, the disturbing issue here is the manner and condition of the environment in which this commodity is being processed.Little to no care is given to the basic knowledge of hygiene for the illetrate hawkers of the commodity. This is evident as human waste and animal dungs are found around the market.
This trend,if not reversed could lead to out-break of deadly deseases, such as;Cholera and Typhode. Therefore, there is the need for the kano State Health Commission to come to the aid of people involved, both in the hawking and buying of sugar-cane
