It
is a sudden shock to the students of Bayero University Kano over the recent
development of their second semester exams being postponed. The exams were
originally scheduled to start November ending but has now being postponed till
December after the GSP exams.
The news got to most students on 23rd
November, 2011 and it brought the hopes of many students down as many students
who stay in far away places such as Lagos, Benue, Kwara etc have planned to go home and celebrate Christmas
and New year with their families.
Although, some students are happy about
the postponement because they say they still need time to prepare for the
exams. Others who have read seriously and are readily set for the exams are
weighed down with the issue of the postponement.
Many rumors have being going about
concerning the reason for the postponement of whish no one is sure. Some people
say that there is going to be an ASUU strike within that period of two weeks,
others believe that the exams were postponed because some lecturers have yet
covered their syllabus.
Students are praying and hoping that
there would not be any strike in order not to cause any delay in their
education. We seriously hope that things get better and exams should commence.
