ON GOING PROJECTS AT BAYERO UNIVERSITY KANO

Report By: Liman Abdullahi Usman SMS/10/MAC/00919

As students of Bayero university kano awaits their forth coming examination, they will be having a cause to smile and celebrate as the school management is keeping to its words tocreating a suitable and conducive learning atmosphere by embarking on some very good projects, this was as promised by the Dean of student affairs Prof.Badmus promised on matriculation day.

Over the years there has been lapses on the part of the management of not providing the conducive atmosphere for learning as they have always complained of inadequate funds, especially when it comes to maintenance of facilities. Looking around the campus one would be quick to notice cracks on the structures, worn out paintings, a very big and beautiful but outdated library as students have to seek external help to do assignment and write projects, water logged floors in the hostels and inadequate water supply , licking roofs to mention a few.

This and many is what has prompted the school management to embark on some projects like the new building for economics and political science department, hostel rehabilitation, paintings ongoing at the technology and history department which is expected to extend to mass communication department, political science and even geography to mention a few.
Most notable among the projects is that of the hostel rehabilitation which started a few weeks back beginning with the patching of cracked walls to the plumbing work of changing the water pipes in the toilets and bathrooms and now the fixing of ceiling fans which everybody is happy with. so far they have been receiving accolades from all corners.

All this was believed to have been motivated by the chairman and C.E.O of I.R.S airlines after paid a visit to the school and donated the sum of two million naira .

Everyone hopes that this will continue for the betterment of the school, Kano state and the country at large as we all would be having competent and credible individuals to manage  the economy for a better tomorrow.
